Social responsibility, trend towards success

Abstract
Social Responsibility is fashionable; in recent years all newspapers, magazines or publications include an article or information on corporate social responsibility. It has been asked whether it is a fad or a more coherent and increasingly consolidated trend that creates value for the society, the stakeholders and the company and/or organization itself.
This paper starts with the historical background of social responsibility to analyze the concept itself. Later, it will discuss the situation of social responsibility in Spain to conclude with a series of national initiatives.
